ADMINISTRATIVE / HUMAN RESOURCES

Folks – Since the times are changing and times have changed (ongoing), DES would put some procedures in place for the safety of both Internal and External employees.

Internal employees:

1. Need to maintain your distance 6-10 feet (I have observed a good job on this – keep it up!)
2. If you are not keeping well or feel any symptoms for the virus, you need to notify and quarantine yourself. (Doctors approval and the test will be required before you will be allowed to come back to work).
3. Need to wear Gloves and Face Masks when in contact with another person while maintaining distance.
4. Clean and sanitize your areas.
5. All office doors remain locked to the general public.
6. Check delivery – Ask employees to bring their own pens. Have then show their ID’s through the glass door, once approved open the door an inch and slide the check out to them.
7. Please see attached for advice to help with anxiety concerns for employees.
8. DES will be offering the COVID PAY (Emergency Leave Pay / FMLA)  as mandated by the new law (April 1st, 2020)

External Employees:

1. When doing orientations, drug tests, etc. you will need to follow this process;
a) Distance – Distance – Distance
b) Face Mask and Gloves
c) Please ask the employee the following questions on this questionnaire (attached)
d) After the employee answers the questions and there are no red flags, you can then take their temperature (EEOC has made an exception for employers to do this during this pandemic) Note: if an office does not have a thermometer, please inform me.
e) Once everything checks out the employee are free to go for assignment.
2. We need to be on top of this and make sure you are doing your daily follow up with your new employee for the first 3 days and weekly follow-ups with all existing.
3. Please let the employee know to immediately call on any safety and sanitary (not following CDC Guideline) concerns at client companies.
4. Please see attached for advice to help with anxiety concerns for employees.
5. DES will be offering the COVID PAY (Emergency Leave Pay / FMLA) as mandated by the new law (April 1, 2020)
